How to delete a Personal Folders set in Outlook 2000?

I use Outlook 2000. I would like to delete one of my two
sets of Personal Folders.

I am sure I have two Folder sets because I opened a PST
file I had created on my other computer. However it is
the FIRST, or the TOP one of the two Folders that I want
to delete. I have tried to right click to close it, but
when I do so, I get the message, "You cannot close the
personal folders file that contains your calendar,
contacts and POP mailbox."

I understand that Outlook may think that is the Folder I
want to use, but I want to use the SECOND or BOTTOM one
instead. So I want to delete the FIRST, or TOP one. The
reason this matters is that I use the Nelson email
organizer program, and that program will only look at the
FIRST folder set.

I will appreciate advice.

Then all you need to do is set your other folder as the delivery location.
Then you'll be able to close the first:
- Right-click on the root of the second set of folders in the folder pane
(View > Folder List)
- Choose Properties
- Check the "Deliver POP mail" box
- Quit & restart Outlook
- Now you can Close the PST file that you were previously using (R-click on
that pst folder while in Folder View and select "Close <foldername>
Folders"). If you have any information in your former PST that you'd like to
transfer to your new default PST, you can drag and drop from one to the
other before you close the old one.
