How to delete My Pictures from desktop background list?

When trying to change the desktop background on my computer, I have found
that all the pictures from My Pictures file have ended up on the list. I
don't want them there and I'm trying to figure out how to remove them. I
operate on Windows XP and Picture Manager is where my pictures are accessed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only way to do that is to remove the picture from the My Pictures
folder. One way to do that is to make subfolders in My Pictures and move
the files to the subfolders.
