How to delete

When I open a `new` word document it always contains a letter that was done
months ago, so I have to delete the contents and then type my new letter. It
saves this ok but if I open a `new` one again it will have those old
contents again.
How do I sort this?

thanks

Howdy,

No expert I, but...

It sounds like you have (accidentally) included that old
letter in your NORMAL.DOT, so when you open anything "new"
the letter appears.

Try this:

Open NORMAL.DOT, and make it look as you want all new stuff
to look, then save it.

But, when you save it, be sure that you save it as a
template. If you are not careful about that, it will save as
NORMAL.DOT.Doc, and that will not help you.

Be sure that when you save it, its file name is NORMAL.DOT,
and you should be in good shape.

All the best,
