Im using Office 2003 Suite (Outlook).
When I try to attach a file a 'windows installer' pop screen comes up &
looks for this path
'Office2000 Professional SR-1\'.

Sounds like you didn't uninstall Office 2000 then. Insert the CD and allow
the installer to finish its repair.
