How to download pictures?

I have been trying to download pictures that are in Outlook messages. When I
click to save them It always shows BMP and no other extention. Many of the
items are GIF to start with and I want to keep them GIF. How can I change
this?

Empty your Temporary Internet file folder. Go to Tools, Internet Options,
General tab, Delete Files.
