Drawing block diagrams in Word and PPT - want to draw plain dotted
('periods') connector, to copy Client approach. Can only find plain or
dashed/crossed versions

Draw the connector, then select the line and click on the Dash Style button
on the Drawing toolbar. Several dotted styles are presented, and you can
double-click on the line to bring up the Format dialog, in which you can
change the style, weight, etc.

Thanks. I have replaced my hard drive, and all the settings had to be
reestablished - I have been finding some odd results. On the dashed line menu
it graphically shows a line made up of small crosses - but I see now that
whenI leave the cursor over it the little tag shows "Round Dot" - and that is
what you actually get.

Lucky I don't need a line made up of crosses!

Since I have had to reinstall Word, do you have any general FAQ source that
might help me to streamline the 'initial' set-up? A Power Point MVP pointed
me to some very good tips and things to avoid in PPT set up and use. You tend
to use it the same way over the years and, and maybe some unnecessary habits
and settings have crept in. Any ideas?

Thank you agin
