how to draw sectors in microsoft word

If you're trying to create a pie chart, use MS Graph. If you're just trying
to create sections of a circle, use the Block Arc AutoShape. It's very
fiddly to get right, but you *can* do it. Alternatively, you can use the Arc
shape and fill it with a color, though it won't have a line on the straight
sides (you can set the line to No Line or the same color as the fill,
though).

I was sure there was a better way to do this, but I can't seem to find it
now; perhaps Bob Buckland will come along and remind me yet again.

For the 90 degrees use the Autoshapes/Basic Shapes/Arc tool but hold the
shift key down while you pull out the arc

For the 120 degrees do another 90 degree and leave it for a minute while you
draw a vertical line. With the line selected, call up Format Autoshape with
the right mouse button, select the Size tab and set the Rotation to -30
degrees. Position this line so that it cuts an imaginary vertical line to the
left side of the 90 degree arc. Now click on the yellow arrow at the left end
of the 90 degree arc and pull the arc round until it cuts the -30 degree
line. You now have a 120 degree arc.
