how to drop the "in public folders" suffix in calender view

S

Sam Day

Hi,

My client views 8 shared calendars which are setup in the public folder
using Outlook 2003 SP3. (basic edition)

At the top of the column of the shared calender "viewed by day" they appear
as
"suchnsuch in public folder"

She wants to view all 8 at a time, but she cant see the name of each
calendar. The column shrinks to the point where she will only see "public"
then she cant determine which calendar is which.

This was not an issue before the last string of updates on her machine. I
tired going through all possible options and I cannot see anyway to change
the view.

Another PC there has Outlook 2003 SP2 and views all 8 calendars does not
have the "in public folders" suffix.

On my own machine with outlook SP2 when I add a public folder calender I too
get the "in public folder" suffix which leads me to believe its a settable
option.

Any ideas?

Its not an option. I've never seen it without 'in public folders' so I'm not
sure why some don't have it.

What view is she using that she sees the middle or end of the name and not
the beginning? Here, even with small tabs, the 'in public folders' part is
cut off, not the folder name.

I'm having the exact same problem - each calendar displays "Name in
Public Folders" on the tabs centered, making the name all but
unreadable when 6+ are opened.
