Hi,
I had a PST file that was protected with a password, and I needed to remove it, so I could access the mailbox without entering it every time. After trying the usual Outlook options, I found that the process depends on whether you still know the existing PST password.
If you know the password, you can remove it directly through Outlook by opening the PST's data file properties and changing the password settings. However, if the password is forgotten, the built-in option may not be much help.
In my case, i found SysTools PST Password Remover that helped me to remove or reset password protection from Outlook PST files on Windows, so the PST can be accessed without the old password. It is useful when you're dealing with an old PST file and don't remember the password anymore.
