Hi, I am using Access 2000 to
create a report. I want to know
how to email the report to clients
who may have or not have Access
2000 installed on his/her computer.

You can save the report in Snapshot form -- that is a feature that is
included in Access. The users can download a Snapshot Report Viewer from the
Microsoft web site -- it is free.

I have also used Adobe Acrobat to save reports as .PDF files (since Acrobat
was in its Version 3). The users download an Acrobat reader from Adobe --
it, too, is free.

But the Acrobat software to create the .PDF file is _not_ free. On the other
hand, it is very convenient to many users because they will already have the
Acrobat reader installed on their computer and won't have to download
something new/special just for the Access reports.

www.software995.com has Pdf995, a very inexpensive PDF maker which installs
as a printer definition.

If you want to email a separate, personalized report to each client, I
recommend WorldMerge (www.coloradosoft.com). You can also try Word's mail
merge wizard; I have had success with producing printouts, but haven't yet
tried the email feature in the wizard.
