How to 'embed' NOT 'link' avi or mpeg files into DOC

I would like to 'embed' an avi (or mpeg) animation file
inside a Word doc.
I DO NOT want to 'link' to the avi file.
I want to be able to send just the doc file with the
animation file contained inside the doc file.
