How to exclude a few cells in a column set to sum

I need to sum a column that goes into page 2. It sums from
B4:B63, however about 4 of the cells are titles or just
spaces so I want to exclude them. How can I do that? Also
the value in each cell is "x" which is equal to one.

You all are great, thanks in advance.

I'm confused when you say you want to sum a column of "x"'s. Sounds like
you need COUNTIF.

=COUNTIF(B4:B63,"x")

should do what you want. It counts every occurrence of "x" in the range.

The SUM function ignores text, so

=SUM(B4:B63)

should work just fine.
