How to exclude a specific word from junk mail rule?

If I have a list of words in my junk mail, how do I exclude certain
variations that might contain the flagged junk term? Example -- may want to
block "ass" for obvious reasons, but I don't want to block assistant or
assignment, etc... Any advice?
