how to exit main office outlook 07 window & keep mail window open

I want to be able to exit the main office outlook window, but keep the window
of a message open. How do I do this? Thanks. I am using Vista 32 bit and
Office Outlook 2007.

I think if a message window is open, Outlook stays alive since it's one
program servicing all those windows.

You can minimise outlook, and still have the msg open

Apparently not. I just tried it and the message window closed as well.

Not possible. You can minimize outlook to the tray and keep the message on
the taskbar.
