One way is with conditional formatting:
Hi-light the range
Format -- Conditional Formatting
In the first box, click the drop down and select "Formula
Is"
Enter: =Countif($A$1:$A$20,A1)>1
(using your range for the $A$1:$A$20, A1 parts)
Click Formats
Select Patterns and pick a color
The duplicates will be hi-lighted
Hi-light the range
