How to find where I left in big document?

Every time I resume work on a big document it takes me a few minutes to find
where I stopped last time. Is there a way of putting kind of a mark at the
end of work so it could be found immediately or the document opens exactly
where I left?

When you open the document, press SHIFT+F5. This will take you to the last
place edited in your document.
