how to force windows authentication login pop-up window in Novell environment--please help!

We are currently using Novell for LAN security. Right now I have
Project Sever set to "mixed" windows authentication and database
authentication. SharePoint (which is running on the same box as
Project Server) does provide a windows login dialog box to the user
each time a SharePoint site is accessed - and it works in conjunction
with one of our AD instances.

What has to be set in a Novell environment in order for Project Server
to pop up a windows authentication dialog box each time the user
accesses:

https://project.xxx.xx.xx/projectserver

Right now you just see the user/password screen for database
authentication and that's it.

Is there something that has to be reconfigured on the server machine?

Thanks,

Andy:

When you run in mixed mode, and you hit the server without credentials, it
assumes that you want to logon through PWA. See the following article to
give you some more ideas:

Would it be easier to just run in Windows Authentication Only mode?
In that case when you hit the server, does it assume Windows
Authentication and pop up a login dailog box?

Thanks,
Andy

Andy:

I expect so, but I'm not certain without trying it myself. But where are
credentials? Are you providing local logons? Go ahead and switch your system
to Windows Auth only to see what other challenges lie ahead.

I'm assuming since the credentials aren't readily availble, Project
Server would prompt the user to provide them. I'll try it and let you
know.
