How to get Followed Hyperlink to *not* change Font Color

S

Swaney

Using MS/Word 2003 I have a document with embedded Bookmarks of different
colors (Red for outstanding, Green for completed, etc) linking to a table of
Action Items. I would like the Bookmarks to take the user to the specific
Action Item (that part is easy). But I do not want the original text with
the Bookmark Hyperlink to change color.

Currently the FollowedHyperlink Style is:
Default Paragraph Font + Font: Palatino Linotype, Underline, Font color:
Violet

I tried Modifying the Font Color to be Automatic but that just makes the
links black.

Is there any way to turn off the reformatting of the Font that occurs for a
FollowedHyperlink?

Hyperlinks that have not yet been followed have the Hyperlink character
style, which is defined with Font color: Blue. Change the color of the
FollowedHyperlink style to the same Blue, and you won't see any change when
the link is clicked.
