How to get rid of deleted task?

A

Anon

Is there any way to clean up deleted task from the project
server? My team members have figured out how to hide
them from their views, but that seems to be the only place
they can be hidden. When brining up reports on resource
assignements, etc., I can't find a way to hide them.
What I really want to do is just get rid of them
completely and make them go away. That's why I deleted
them to begin with, to make them go away.

Please help with advise or ideas.

Thanks.

As an Admin in Project Web Access the adminstrator can go
in and delete and entire project or selected tasks.

Select "Clean up the Microsoft Project Server Database"

Choose what you want to delete
Tasks
Resource task changes
Status Reports
or
Projects and To-do-Lists

If deleting Tasks, Resource Task changes, or Status
Reports select whether to delete for all users or a
specified user.

If deleting a project select the project in the table

Once all parameters are defined click on Delete.

Unfortunately, the suggested solution does not appear to let you delete a single specific task - only large blocks of tasks. The PM can delete a Task in Project and then resources can Hide that task in the their task list, but I have found no way to actual remove this info from the database

Anyone have a good process
