How to get the telephone answering machine to work

I

IJLang

I have been using a computer to answer my telepone and take messages. Now
with my new machine i cannot load the older programs and cannot find the
application that i would need to answer calls and take messages from my fixed
line phone.

I don't think FrontPage has that capability.

Answering machines are fairly inexpensive though.

If you got a CD with it for the modem, maybe there is an answering app on it.
Google for it if not.

wrong forum....but seeing you brought it up....I cant help but take this
opportunity to promote a piece of open source software www.asterisk.org it's
an open source IP pabx with over 20,000 commercial installations in the last
12 months.

this thing is amazing.

http://asteriskathome.sourceforge.net/ is the web page for a varient of it
for SOHO use.

like I sai, I know it's not Frontpage but I'm sure a few of the geeks in
here will love it.

Cheers,
Dean

yeh I know but you wouldn't know it.....the asterisk@home is a single iso,
you put it in the pc, boot, come back 30 minutes later and it's pretty much
all configured.

now if i can only get php files to run on my sbs 2003 server I'd be happy.
