How to get the user id ?

I would like to be able to get the user id of the person that is login
to the machine. Is there any sample code or articles that someone can
provide? I would like to study the code and/or read the article in
order to be able to retrieve the user id from an acces vba module.

Your guidance will be appreciated.

I assume you are talking about the Windows login name? You'll find the code to retrieve this at http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm

If you mean the Access security username then CurrentUser() function will tell you that.
