How to have contacts appear in last name order in "Select name" b.

When accessing the Select Name box for contacts in email, the contacts do not
appear in last name, first name order even though that is the "file as" order.

You failed to post your Outlook version. Read through the instructions for
every one:


Outlook 97 and 98/2000 in Corporate/Workgroup mode:
Tools menu > Services > Highlight the Outlook Address Book service > Click
Properties > Set sort order

98/2000 Internet Mail Only:
Tools menu > Address Book > View menu > Sort by

Outlook 2002/2003:
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there
