How to have two resources work at the same time?

I want project to do leveling, but I want two
resources (people) to be working on one task at
the same time. When project levels, it keeps the
people on the task that I assigned, but one might
do his work a month before the other one starts.
If I have two IT people setting up a system, they
really need to work together to do their parts of
the task. If it were envelope stuffing, I wouldn't
care when one resource did his stuffing compared to
the other, but for a lot of jobs, I need to make sure
that the resources do the work together on the same
day.

I know that I can level everything manually, but is
there any other way to force two resources to do their
work at the same time?

I'm new to project, but I haven't found how to solve this
problem in any of my online searching.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Eric,

One of the levelling options is "levelling can adjust individual assignments
on a task" - by default it is selected and means that individuals can work
on the same task at a different time depending on availability. If you
uncheck this setting in theory the task can only start when all resources
are available, this would be useful in cases where people have to work
collaboratively on a task for safety, security or practical reasons.
