If you right click on the cell, edit hyperlink,
in the upper right corner is tooltip button, you can enter
a space there and you will come up with an empty tooltip.
If you have nothing there it will revert to normal.

Actually, I am using XL97 and would like to know how to
set hyperlinks to display link address only when cursor
is on active cell.
Tried your solution and no tooltip button is available to me. TIA.
