How to I add or subtract folders from the "Look in" list?

Every time I try to open a file from Microsoft Word or Publish it has a pane
to the left called "Look in" and it list several folders like My Documents,
Word Files, etc. My question is how do I modify this list (i.e., add more
folders or subtract folder from this list?

On the top of the Look in dialogue, on the right, tools drop down, "add to my
places."
