How to I compress and ucompress files, folders, and subfolders?

yes i have an assignment in my microsoft office 07 class i just started
taking and I am new to it. and this is the assignment I am coping and pasting
below is there someone who can help me plz b/c I am a new user and I am lost.

Unit 2 Project: Northern Exposure to File Management



Scenario:

You have just started your Software Applications course and need to practice
managing your files so that you can stay organized during your studies. You
will need to create folders and subfolders as well as copy, move, rename and
delete files. You are also going to explore the concept of ‘zipping’ or
compressing folders. Click here to view a presentation about Managing your
Files before you begin.


Deliverables:

Submit one compressed folder named Unit2_yourlastname to the Unit 2 Project
dropbox by 11:59 pm (EST) Tuesday night. Your project must meet the following
requirements:


Project Details:

Part 1: Prepare for the Exercise -- 18 Points (See below for a breakdown of
the points)

Create a folder at the root (C:\) named CANADA - 5 points
Navigate to Document Sharing (in the classroom) and select “Unit 2 Project
Files†from the drop-down list. Copy the folder named Unit2Files.zip to the
CANADA folder - 10 points
Uncompress (UnZip) the folder named Unit2Files that you copied from Document
Sharing - 3 points

Part 2: Manage your Files -- 42 Points (See below for a breakdown of the
points)

Create Subfolders in the C:\CANADA folder named Eastern, Central and Western
- 6 points
Move British Columbia and Alberta from the C:\CANADA folder to the
C:\CANADA\Western folder - 6 points
Copy Ontario into the C:\CANADA\Central Folder - 3 points
Quebec wants to separate. Delete it - 3 points
Cut Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island from the C:\CANADA folder and paste
it into the C:\CANADA\Eastern Folder - 6 points
Create a subfolder in C:\CANADA\Central named Capital - 3 points
Copy Ottawa, the Capital of CANADA, into the C:\CANADA\Central\Capital
folder. RENAME Ottawa to Your First and Last Name. - 4 points
Create a new folder named Unit2_yourlastname and copy the CANADA folder (and
all its subfolders) to the Unit2_yourlastname folder - 6 points
Compress your Unit2_yourlastname folder (it will become
Unit2_yourlastname.zip) and submit the compressed folder to the Unit 2 Drop
Box. - 5 points
