How to import .swf flash files into the powerpoint presentation?

How to import .swf i.e. flash files in to the powerpoint presentation?
Can I import swf files into powerpoint 2000?

I have a flash intro which I want to run before the powerpoint presentaion
starts. and again after 6 slides I have another swf animation to run.

But I am not sure whether I can import swf files into powerpoint
presentation 2000.
Can someone help me out ,Please.

Yes you can do this from PPR 97.
