how to install from downloaded files

RuthL

I downloaded the two files of the 60 day trial of Office Professional 2007.
I can't find any instructions as to how to install? Is there a way to
create the two install CDs from these downloaded exe files?

Ruth, you now need to double click on the downloaded file to install it.

However, before you do this, are you sure you want to buy the full
version when the trial period expires? The reason I am asking this is
because, people are having endless problems uninstalling it once the
trial period has expired.

I also, recommend backing up your important files like: emails, letters,
spreadsheets, pictures etc on a USB pen drive just in case something
goes wrong.

I cannot get the two files to run. When I double click on X13-40150.exe I
get an error message that it is not a win32 valid application. What am I
doing wrong?

I have downloaded it twice and same thing.

Thanks for any help,
John

And now you see why you should stick to ONE post. We're volunteers here. I
can't and won't speak for the others but I try to have something of a life
outside of the newsgroups. This means I don't usually have the time to try
to find all of the applicable threads from one poster.

Plus it has to be just as difficult for you to try to find all of the
threads you posted and see who said what. Be kind to us and yourself as
well - post your question one time and wait to see who answers. Okay? :)

JoAnn,
Sorry I upset you by posting my question more than ONCE. I was a new user
here and was not sure which thread would be best for my question.

Actually, it is very easy to find out who answers the posts with the
automatic reply notification. You should try that. The only responses I
received here were complaints and no answers.

I guess I did learn that there was someone that was able to help me
elsewhere and my software is running fine now.

Again, SORRY.

I'm not upset. I replied so that you would learn the "proper" way to post.

As for finding responses, most of us who are "hard core" readers of the
newsgroups do not use the Microsoft website for them. That is the most
irritating, slow-loading, and downright user-unfriendly way there is to
read, post, and reply to others. I use Outlook Express, others use a
dedicated reader.
