How to install Frontpage under Win Vista/Office 2007 system?

B

Bruce

I am not sure what group I should post this to, so I figured programmers
would know best :.)

I have a copy of Office 2003 with Frontpage. I have had to replace my
computer, and I opted for one with Vista and Office 2007.
Well, Frontpage is not in this new and improved (yea, right) version of
Office.

Does anybody know how II can install FP one my new sytem? Is there a way
that I can either "migrate" the old version, or install it from the
origianal office 2003 CD (with out mucking up the current office install?

Thanks

It is always best to install Office products in the order they were
manufactured, since office products have a lot of common components.
Installing an earlier version will overwrite the later files required by
the later version.

Install FP2003 first - custom install, and do not install any Office
Tools, followed by Office 2007.
Or install FP2003 (custom install as above), followed by repair or
re-install of Office 2007.

FYI, FrontPage has not been supplied as part of an Office edition since
FP2002.

Hi
Easily said : install Office 2007 first then install FP 2003 so the
system won't crash

The order of installation should be oldest to newest:

You could try this... go into Internet Options in IE > Programs > Manage
Add-ons. In the pulldown menu go to "Addons that have been used by
Internet Explorer" scroll down till you find the "Windows Genuine
Advantage" one and just disable it.... apparently the update sites only
check to see if you have the DLL installed... not whether or not its
enabled.

Please let us know if this worked for you!!!!!

Sorry but when you install Office 2003 first Office 2007 may crash or
disable it

Not if you install using the custom install option and into a different folder, etc.
