Hi S.K.P.,
The MS Office 2007 Home and Student edition retail license agreement
(
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA102103171033.aspx)
includes the following description:
"You may install one copy of the software on three licensed devices in your household for use by people who reside there".
What constitutes a household and a residence (i.e. being temporarily away on military service or school, or travel might not affect
the definition of primary residence used for taxes or voter registration <g>), so it's up to you to determine the course of action
you'd follow. The activation and installation sofware itself has no way to determine if you're in the house.
If your son's school provides email addresses to the students that have a .edu naming structure then your son might be interested in
getting the 'better' (more stuff in it) Office 2007 Ultimate edition at a nice price
http://www.microsoft.com/student/en-US/Discounts.aspx
and then trasnfer to you the Office 2007 Home and Student Edition.
=================
My son is away at college. he purchased the Student edition and can send me
the code. Can I install onmine with out the disc?<<
