how to install office xp

Set your keyboard to CAPS LOCK when you type in the 25 character key (It is
much easier to read)
..... Be absolutely sure you have not transposed characters - when you read
or typed the Product Key.
..... I did this 5 times before I noticed that I actually transposed 2
characters when I typed the product key
(symptom of working on software installation when you are tired)

Since it is OEM, you need to get the correct key from Compaq as MS does not
support OEM installations.

Did you specifically pay for Microsoft Office? If not then you won't be
able to activate it. In the UK I am aware that PCWORLD is installing MS
Office 2003 on all machines but thease are not activated and can't be
activated unless you buy a retail version or upgrade version of the
product from them. I don't know how and why they do it but it gives
more headaches to us providing private consultancy to cusomers.
