How to keep contacts / calendar local and only sync email in outl.

Outlook 2003 automatically syncs the contacts and calendar with the server...
How can I only sync my email with the server and keep my contacst and
calendar on my local?

Exchange? You can't. The Exchange mailbox is the main source, the local file
is just a copy of that. You'll have to create a separate pst-file and create
a calendar and contacts folder in there.

Roady.... Thanks for the feedback... Two questions that come up though with
the approach you are suggesting: [1] Can I still maintain the integration
between my inbox (scheduling meetings, looking up email addresses, using the
shortcut bar, etc), and [2] how can I interface my PDA (HP, Outlooking 2003)
simultaneously to two separate databases on my PC?

Many thanks, Cas

You can't. Why do you want to have your Calendar/Contacts not sync with the
server in the first place?

There is personal information in there as well that is ok to keep on a local
copy, but that does not necessarily belong on a company server.
