How to keep pictures from being downloaded from my website

I have some high resolution pics on my website that I would like to keep from being downloaded by website visitors. Is there anyway in Frontpage 98 that I can make this happen? I'm not a wizard when it comes to website building, but I have encountered websites where, when you right click on a picture, a box pops up saying the pic is copywritten or something along those lines....thus preventing someone from downloading it. Need info!! (In plain English...not computer language!

A plain English answer is that nothing you do will keep someone who really
wants your photos from getting them. The only way to prevent that is not to
post them at all.

When someone vists your site, your photos are downloaded onto their system.
The right click thing can be easily defeated or can be completely bypassed.
Since you have photos that you want to post and they are "high resolution",
I'd suggest using a watermark instead. At least that will mark those photos
as yours.

I know this wasn't the answer you wanted or expected but it is the truth and
I haven't used "geek speak".

Not possible!

In order for items to be viewed in a browser, it must be downloaded to the
user's machine first, so if they really want to grab you image, they already
have it, so even with "no right-click" script, they got it already.

If the image is that important, then do not put it on the web.

Sorry, no such protection is possible. For the reasons
and some coping strategies, browse:

Thanks!
I kind of got that idea from a few other posts that I read after I posted. I decided on a copyright notice in large letter across the front of the pic. These are pics of my husband's art and we would rather people email us for them, not just use them at their own will.
Thank-you for all of your help!!

http://www.digimarc.com/ is one method. The other is to use
Photoshop or Fireworks to put your own watermark on them, rendering
any copies useless to another website owner.

Just put, "copyright xyz web site" right across them.

Otherwise, you are hosed.
