How to kill off the Outlook Address Book

You are insulting. You also failed to read my message where I said I
followed the instructions in the link. You misread my original
request and have engaged in blame-the-victim behavior.

|I also posted a link to the instructions you need to follow. You appear to
|need more help than a newsgroup can provide.

Thank you, Brian. Your advice is always clear. I've verified that my
settings are as you described. It still brings up the address book
from the TO icon. Apparently there's no other option for brining up
the Contacts folder from the TO icon instead.

The To button will always start the Address Book interface. It always has.
The Outlook Address Book service is what allows the To button to show you
the electronic addresses in your Contacts. The To button will never show
your Contacts folder, but if you click To, then in the Address Book
interface click Tools>Options, you should be able to change the "Show this
address list first" drop-down to say "Contacts" and then when you click To
the next time, you should see those of your contacts that have either e-mail
addresses or fax numbers (which are also electronic addresses).

Precisely what I needed to know! Thank you. I'm getting that now --
I just hoped for a different option. I shall learn to survive with
the address book interface.

Have a wonderful day!
