how to know a task is expanded or collapsed

could any body let me know how to check whether a ms project task is
expanded or collapsed using VB

Wow, what a user name!

This question has been asked before - the last time was probably not
more than a few months ago. You can do a search on this newsgroup or our
sister newsgroup at, microsoft.public.project.developer for a more
detailed answer but the quick answer is to loop through the tasks and
look for breaks in the ID sequence.
