How to limit number of records?

Hi there all,
Can you advise me how I might limit the number of records returned by a
query? I've got to produce data extracts from an Access 2000 database that
are sent via text batch files to a mainframe system. The header record in
each batch file states how many client records are included and as this is
only a 2-digit field I'm obviously limited to 99 records.
Do you know how I might do this via SQL or via the Query Design Grid?
Any thelp you can offer would be very welcome!

Sorry for posting this twice but as it said there was an error when I
attempted to send the first message I presumed it hadn't be sent! Well you
would wouldn't you!!
