how to login

If you're using windozeXP you can add the username and password to the users profile and it should automagically login whenever you go to PWA or Project Pro.

Go to Control Panel>User Accounts>[Select user name to configure]>Manage network passwords

Hope that helps.

words, by bypassing the project server login screen?

I looked in the security options but I can not find an option to set the

Dismas -

You need to look in two places. You need to see how you have set the
resources up in the Enterprise Resource Pool, then you need to check
PWA.

(1) In Project Professional 2003 - log on as a user with rights to open
the Enterprise Resource Pool. Then do Tools > Enterprise Options >
Open Enterprise Resource Pool. Find yourself on the list, click to put
a checkmark in the box, then Open/Add to check out. Once loaded,
double click your name to open the Resource Information Dialog Box.
The Workgroup should say "Default" and your NT Account information
should appear under it. If not, change the workgroup to Default, click
Windows Account and see if it will detect it. Save and close, then
close ouf of Project. Then restart and you should log in
automatically.

(2) In PWA, log in as a user with Admin rights. Go to Admin > Manage
Security > User Authentication. You will see:

Specify how users should be authenticated by Project Server

Mixed. (Users can be authenticated with Windows Authentication using
the user account logon ID, or with Project Server authentication using
a logon ID and password entered by the user.)
Windows Authentication only. (Warning: All Project Server
authentication accounts will be disabled. Disabled Windows
Authentication accounts will remain disabled.)
Project Server authentication only. (Warning: All Windows
Authentication accounts will be disabled. Disabled Project Server
authentication accounts will remain disabled.)

You should be in Mixed or Windows Authentication only. W A R N I N G
Changing these setting may result in having all of your users switched
from Active to Inactive account status, resulting in a lot of work on
your part.

Hope this helped.
