how to maintain resolution of excel charts in powerpoint?

I'm trying to import/paste some excel pie charts into PowerPoint 2003. Once
in PowerPoint, the resolution of the graphics seem to diminish. How can I
prevent that from happening?

What do you mean, the resolution diminishes? Are you having problems with
jagged edges, or is it something else?

If you right-click the chart on the slide, choose Format Object, and set the
size to 100%, are you still seeing problems?

Yes, the lines/edges are jagged. The pie chart prints fine in Excel, but
when I paste the image into PowerPoint, I can't seem to get it to print with
smooth lines.

I tried the Format Object and it was already at 100%.

Thanks!

Okay, try this:

Choose Tools, Options.
Click the Print tab
Put a check next to "Print inserted objects at printer resolution"
