How to Make a Bibliography in Word?

Use google. Word doesn't do bibliographies. If you are wondering about how
to format the bibliography, look for sites that give rules for either
Chicago, APA, or MLA citation styles, and follow one. If you want something
to do that formatting for you, either google for a template, and/or buy
third-party bibliographic management software (google will tell you the
programs), a template will not insert punctuation for you but extra software
will.

If you want to compile a list of books on a subject, go to your local
library.

Glad to help. Just for future reference, being a little more specific in
the question might have gotten you even better help.

I managed to create a sort of bibliography in word like this:

1) write your references (books, articles, etc) by numbering them.
Go to Format- Bullets and numbering-Numbering and chose the format you want.
I chose [1].

2) immediatly after [1], i.e. before the text that follows the number I
inserted a bookmark that I gave the name for example Carnot-1845.
Note that I inserted the bookmark without selecting the text.
You can also add ths bookmark by selecting the text. it is better like that.

3) Go in the text where you want to make this reference. For exemple:
"In the literature, there is such a first development - see ...-"
and you ant to appear "see [1]"
and do the following:
Insert-Reference - Cross Reference - bookmark - an select the name
Carnot1845, and check in the right side: Paragraph number.

I hope I was sufficiently clear.
I don't know any desadvantage to proceed like this.
If anyoane know, thank you for letting me know.

If you use auto numbering for your references, this is not necessary, as all
numbered items are bookmarked automatically. See
