How to make a new template?

Can someone please advise how I can make a simple one page template with, at
the top and at the bottom of the page, address info and a few coloured
graphics all copied from a pre-printed letter head sheet I have?

In PowerPoint you place the items on the master page that you want on any
other page that is created. Depending on the version of PPT you have you
may only have one master page or you can have multiple master pages.
