How to make backup copy of enterprise resource pool

E

Evgeniy

Hi.

There is a possibility to create backup copies of enterprise projects,
saving them to files (File/Save As...).
There is a possibility to create backup copy of enterprise global
template, saving it to file (Tools/Enterprise Options/Backup Enterprise
Global...).
But I could not find any method to create backup copy of enterprise
resource pool. Is there any?

Thank you in advance.
Evgeniy.

Evgeniy:

Open a project File and use the team builder to add all the resources in
your pool to the file. Use Save As to save the file as an MPP.

Once you do this, your restore procedure is to import
resources from that plan.

There is an issue where there is no option during import
to directly map the enterprise resource custom fields in
the local plan to those on the server. These values have
to be transfered to a text field so that the import
procedure can map these correctly to the server enterprise
fields. We have 5 environments and have to do this
occasionally, but I haven't done it in a couple of months,
so I'm working from memory.

You may want to try it out to see the issue to which I'm
referring.
