How to make cell not editable

I have to make cell not editable depending upon the selection of
values from the combobox.I have done this using by locking the cells
but it's not good, can anybody tell how to do this in anotherway Thanks

Not good? Locking the cells (and protecting the sheet!!!) is the only way to
go. You would however need a macro to do what you want.
