How to make certain Generic resources available to all in the organization

We have RBS set up as Char1.Char2.Char3.Char4. How do we
assign RBS to these Generic resource such that these
generic resources show up under Build Team from enterprise
and ER Pool for PM/Leads who have RBS set up at
Char2/Char3. We use security pretty much as it is out of
box.

Please let me know.

In your situation, attempting to use the RBS field values with Generic
resources will not help you. Instead, create a custom Category for this
purpose by completing the following steps:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click the Admin menu
3. Click the Manage security link
4. Click the Add Category button
5. Name the new category My Generic Resources
6. In the Users and groups section, add the Project Managers group
7. At the bottom of the Permissions grid of the Users and groups section,
select Project Manager from the pick list and click the Set Permissions with
Template button
8. In the Resources section, select all of your Generic resources and click
the Add button
9. Click the Save Changes button
