Good Morning,

I am using Frontpage 2000. How do I make a hyperlink that
will go to a section further down the same page?

Cheers ! :)

It's called a bookmark.
Highlight the ( make sure it's one word ) word further down the page, Click Insert > Bookmark ( or
Control+G ) and then save the page. Then create your link, right click and select hyperlink
properties, click Bookmark, select the page you're on and in the list click on your new bookmark.

First:

1. Select something at the target location.
2. Shoose Insert, Bookmark.
3. Type a mnenomic name (i.e. a short name with no
special characters or spaces) and then click OK.

Then:

1. Select the text or picture that will become the
hyperlink.
2. Choose Insert, Hyperlink, and click Bookmark.
3. Select the name you assigned in step 3 above, then
click OK and OK.

That worked well. Thanks.

However one problem I have is that I have my page default
as setup to open links in new window.

Is there a way I can change the bookmark link just to
scroll down the same window, instead of opening up a new
one?

Cheers !:)

Select the bookmark, right click hyperlink properties, and set the Frame target value to self.

Is actually better to not set a default frame target value of new window, especially if you have any
email links.

Thanks Again. That worked well.

I prefer to have outside links open in new page, as the
source page is actually a links page.

However I do have a new issue. After I click the hyperlink
to the book mark, the name of my Explorer Window changes.

It goes from Old title, to Old Title#Guild%
20Database. 'Guild Database' is the book mark name.

Is there any way I can get rid of this addition?

Cheers !:)
