How to make "never reroute" the default for placing connectors?

I'm trying to use Visio to draw electronic schematics for
presentations/conference papers but there is one thing giving me much grief.
The automatic reroute connector feature makes the lines behaive in a way I do
not want. If I change them to "never reroute" then it works fine. But I do
not want to click this icon ever single time I place a connector on the page.

How do I make "never reroute" the default setting for placing connectors on
a drawing. I do not want to push a button for every placement.

Thanks.

Hi,
I don't know of a global setting that sets all connectors to never
reroute.

One simple solution is to create your own connector shape. Drop a
connector on a Visio page, set it to "never reroute", and then drag it
to a new stencil (File>Shapes>New Stencil). You can now drag this
shape to your diagrams and connect the ends as needed and it will
retain the "never reroute" behavior.

Another method is to select all connectors on your drawing and then
click the "never reroute" tool. (By the way, this tool performs the
same task as selecting Format>Behavior>Connector>Reroute>Never.) This
will affect only connectors. You can press Ctrl-a to select all, then
click the "never reroute" tool.
