how to make text flash on and off

Brian Wall

Hi guys

I am fairly new to using front page to create html documents and have
difficulty in resolving a small problem.
I need to make a line of text FLASH on and off and can not find any info on
how to do this.
I have looked on the help files and also in the MS manual for Front Page
2003 but can find no reference to this action.
Could one of you clever guts out the pass on the coding for this please

thanks

Brian

Apologies for my spelling / typo mistake....last line should show the word
"guys" ...... NOT guts.....

I don't know about rude but it sure is annoying. If it's a site that I just
happened upon, I'm outta there faster than that text can blink. If it's a
site I really want, I'll scroll down far enough to hide it.

You mean blink? Its sorta considered "rude" but if thats what you want,
select the text, goto "Font" and then click on blink.

Then, please post the URL so we know which site to avoid -- and I'm
not being a comedian, either.

Blinking text and blinking ads are obnoxious. You will quickly find
that either (1) you don't have any repeat site visitors or (2) you are
deluged with complaints if you have visitors who are willing to take
the time to tell you they don't like blinking text. Sometimes, they
won't be nice when they tell you that.

OK guys , I take your point, but in this case it is required.
I have found out the formula for creating this so thanks to all who bothered
to reply.

Also folks with certain health conditions could have negative reactions,
e.g, folks with epilepsy.

I've heard that but I've read so many things that sound plausible and turn
out to be "old wives tales".

Apparently is can cause problems. I don't use flashing text because it's
downright annoying. Now I can say that I don't use it because I'm sensitive
to problems that others may have.
