How to make textbox appear after pressing Enter key?

Hi all,

I am so novice that I don't know where to ask this silly question!

All I want to do is simple. I have two textboxes on a slide; one should be
shown all the time when the slide is up and the other should appear only when
I hit Enter key on the slide.

How can I construct this? I am playing with Custom Animation (On Click, With
Previous, After Previous) for no reason...

Thanks for your time.

Select the text and then set the Custom Animation to appear on mouse click. The
text will appear when you click the left mouse button, or when you press Enter.

You are in the right area. In custom animation, then go
to "timing", and set your first text box to "animate",
and have "0" displayed as the amount of timing where it
will appear automatically.
Then, for your second text box, select "animate" and make
sure "on a mouse click" is selected.

That should do it. I just got done doing this on a very
lengthy presentation myself (on Powerpoint 97, no-less!)

Good luck!
