How to make the Office Assistant appear in MS Office 2000? Promp.

The subj. has gone from my computer and popups keep telling me to repair or
go to "Data Msl....." file and repair. I've gone to repair and reinstall, etc
.. and still I cannot get the little "Office Assistant" , which is the little
popup with a question to help in doing something, to appear. Again, I have
deleted MS office 2000, reinstalled, gone to repair and still cannot get the
little icon to appear under tools or whatever toolbar app. makes it appear.
Can you please help me? Thanks so much.

Hi Anglo,

Are you getting any error messages that mention the assistant?
What version of Windows are you using?

Can you bring up the Assistant or the Assistant Gallery from the
Help menu in Word?

Do you have any Microsoft 2000 series products listed in
Add/Remove Programs in the Add/Remove Programs in the
Windows Control Panel, for example MS Office 2000 Disk 2?
If so, be sure the Assistant is listed as active for Disk 2
as well.
