How to migrate rules successfully

I have been trying to move my rules from my desktop Outlook 2003 to my
super new Tablet. Export/Import sounded like the answer. It isn't.
Basically, the rule names and some of the rule structures are imported
but as as soon as you try and save them, all the destination folders
in the rules disappear! This issue has apparently existed for around 7
years - amazing.

The solution - probably for later Oulook versions than 2000 only, as
the rules are now embedded in the .pst file and not in a .rwz file -
is as follows:

1 close both Outlooks
2 rename the Tablet outlook.pst to xxxoutlook.pst
3 copy over the desktop outlook.pst to the Tablet location
4 open the Tablet's Outlook
5 import xxxoutlook.pst to preserve the work already done if needed
(optional)

Rules are then successfully migrated and don't lose their destination
folders.

The bottom line seems to be copy over the .pst file *before* you start
using the Tablet's Outlook.

The outlook.pst files are usually found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

This post is simply for the record in case I forget:)
