How to move scroller bar?

I have an excel Spreadsheet with the vertical scroller bar stuck in the
middle of the page. How do I move this back to the side?

Max

Hazarding a guess here .. Assuming Excel itself is maximized, does half the
screen appear grey ? Try clicking the "maximize" icon (rectangle) at the top
right corner, just to the left of the "x" icon above the vertical scroll bar
to maximize the window. When maximized, things should be back to normal. It
may be just a case that someone else had previously opened 2 windows (via
Window > New Window) and tiled both, with 1 of the 2 windows either
minimised since or closed, giving this kind of view.

Yeah, I tried that. The scroller bar is actually running right down th
centre of the page and I can see cells on either side of th
spreadsheet.
It sounds strange but it looks stranger!
The screen is split in 2 but there is no scroller bar on the othe
side.
I think I might have to re-install excel on this PC.

Thanks for the help anyway

Before doing that, carefully check thinks on the Window menu. I think the
detail differs between different versions on Excel, but it's quite possible
to 'split' the view of a worksheet so that you have two 'windows' on it.
Then the scroll bars appear on only the active window. In other words, if
you click in a cell on the side of the 'split' without scroll bars, do they
appear in that window (and disappear from the other)? If this is the case,
there will be two (or more) filenames listed on the Window menu. You can
close all but one to leave the normal single view.
